Ok, we have not been in our house long. We have a Trane XV80. It has the air cleaner on it which consists of a prefilter, and then an ionizer of some sort… I guess this is what it is called. What is the proper cleaning procedures for these two parts? I thought that the owner of the house before us told me that the prefilters were reusable? Thank you ahead of time for your help!

We bought a condo that was lightly smoked in (its somewhat noticible when you enter, but we are cleaning, painting etc). We are also thinking of installing the IQ Hepa whole house Air cleaner, it has no ozone output, and is a really good Hepa cleaner, according to a bunch of independant reviews, extreme home makeover, hospitals etc. We wanted to know if there is anything we should be aware of or know of about this unit.

It’s in a classic car and the engine has been bored out to a 347 but the engine looks pretty out of place when you open the hood at a show. How can I keep the EFI and change the intake to look a little more symmetrical with a nice top mounted air cleaner?
